The Office of Academic Affairs of the University of Tartu is responsible for organising and developing degree studies and continuing education. This includes advising university staff and partners on matters related to the organisation of studies. Our employees develop and update the university’s regulations governing the studies, and monitor and analyse the quality of the data on students and studies. The Office of Academic Affairs comprises three units and two centres.
Student Admissions
The Student Admissions unit organises the admission of students, develops the admissions action plan and lays down the admission requirements.

Degree Studies and Quality Assurance Unit
The Degree Studies and Quality Assurance Unit organises and promotes degree studies at the University of Tartu, develops curricula, coordinates the quality assurance activities in degree studies, grants needs-based allowances, issues diplomas, diploma supplements and other documents.
Location: main building (Ülikooli 18-137) and Jakobi 1. Diplomas, diploma supplements and certificates can be collected at Jakobi 1; please enter from the courtyard.
Study Information System and Analysis Unit
The Study Information System and Analysis Unit develops the study information system (SIS), advises its users, and organises SIS-related training for the university staff.

Counselling Centre
The Counselling Centre offers and develops central support services for students: counselling, information materials and seminars.

The Lifelong Learning Centre coordinates, organises and develops continuing education at the University of Tartu. The centre aims to provide a wide range of continuing education opportunities to members of the university and society.
